How to Use This
Most queer travelers find out about an event two weeks before it happens, when their friends start posting from it. The good hotels are gone by then. This calendar is the opposite — it’s everything worth planning a trip around in 2026, with enough lead time to actually book the right room.
Dates marked (confirmed) are locked. Dates marked (typical) are based on past years; check the official source before booking flights. We can help you confirm.
February
Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras — Sydney, Australia (typical: late Feb / early March)
- The biggest Pride in the southern hemisphere, anchored by the Mardi Gras parade.
- Book hotels in Darlinghurst or Surry Hills 6 months out.
- Pair with a few days at the Blue Mountains or a flight up to Cairns for the reef.
March
Winter Party Festival — Miami Beach (typical: early March)
- The original gay charity circuit week, six days of pool parties and beach events.
- South Beach hotels sell out 2–3 months out.
April
Songkran Gay Circuit — Bangkok (typical: mid-April, around Thai New Year)
- Thailand’s marriage equality changed the energy here. Songkran is the city’s water festival; the gay circuit overlaps with it for a week of parties.
- Book a Sukhumvit hotel for proximity to Silom nightlife.
May
IDAHOBIT — global (May 17, confirmed)
- Not a destination event but worth noting if you’re traveling and want to attend a local commemoration.
Sitges Pride — Sitges, Spain (typical: early–mid June; some events spill into late May)
- See June.
June — Pride Month
The big month. Most US Prides happen the last weekend.
- Tel Aviv Pride (typical: mid-June) — the largest in the Middle East. Hotels along the beachfront book up; consider Jaffa for a quieter base.
- NYC Pride (last weekend of June) — book Manhattan hotels 4+ months out. Brooklyn is a smart cheaper alternative.
- SF Pride (last weekend of June) — Castro hotels are limited; SoMa or Hayes Valley are better bases.
- Chicago Pride (last weekend of June) — Boystown / Lakeview neighborhoods.
- Madrid Pride / MADO (typical: late June through early July) — the biggest in Europe, week-long, the parade is the largest single event. Book Chueca-area hotels.
- São Paulo Pride (typical: early/mid June) — historically the largest Pride parade in the world by attendance. Paulista Avenue.
- Toronto Pride (typical: late June)
July
Provincetown Bear Week (typical: mid-July) — the bear community’s annual descent on P-town. Guesthouses fill 6 months out.
Madrid Pride final weekend spills into early July most years.
August
Amsterdam Pride / Canal Parade (typical: first Saturday of August)
- The boats-on-the-canal parade is the visual that everyone knows. Stay in the canal ring or the Jordaan.
Provincetown Carnival (typical: third week of August)
- The biggest week of the P-town summer — themed parade, all the guesthouses booked, the town at full energy. Book a year out for the best places.
Brighton Pride (typical: first weekend of August) — UK seaside Pride, weekend trip from London.
September
Folsom Street Fair — San Francisco (last Sunday of September, confirmed: September 27, 2026)
- The leather/kink/fetish street fair. SoMa hotels book early.
- Adjacent events through the preceding week.
Sitges Bears Week — Sitges, Spain (typical: early–mid September)
- Beach town outside Barcelona, easy day trips into the city.
October
Halloween in West Hollywood / NYC / New Orleans — not a single event, but the queer Halloween circuit is worth its own planning.
Atlantis / VACAYA / Brand g charter sailings — multiple all-LGBTQ+ charters depart in fall. Pricing favors early booking; the popular categories sell out.
November–December
White Party Palm Springs (typical: Easter weekend — moves with the holiday; 2026 falls in early April, so this technically belongs above)
Year-end circuit parties — Saint at Sea, various NYE party weekends in Miami, Mexico City, Buenos Aires.
